How I Engage
I embed, I don't advise from outside.
I work on site, in your systems, alongside your team. That means the people doing the work know who I am and why I'm there — not a stranger who appeared in a conference room and left with a binder.
The answer is usually on the floor, not in the model.
I'll spend time with the controller and the shop supervisor, the scheduler and the sales lead. The numbers tell you where to look; the people doing the work tell you why it's happening. I need both, and I'm comfortable in either room.
Data first, then judgment.
I start by getting the numbers right and trusted, because most operating disagreements are actually disagreements about facts. Once the facts are settled, the decisions get much easier — and your team can make them without me.
Your team owns the outcome.
I'm not building something only I can run. Whatever we put in place gets documented, taught, and handed off to the people who'll live with it. You get me, not a team of associates. Engagements have a defined scope and an end, and I'll tell you when you don't need me anymore.
